At The Palmdale Aerospace Academy, we follow California state law to ensure a fair and transparent admissions process.
When the number of applications exceeds available spaces, a random public lottery is held to determine enrollment.

The lottery application window opens on December 1st. The last day to submit applications for the lottery will be the Wednesday before the lottery. The lottery will be held on the last Saturday in February.
The Palmdale Aerospace Academy is a school of choice; therefore, any student going into grades TK-12 may apply, regardless of the district school they are assigned to.
No. We accept applications from all students.
You will receive one email. This will be a system email with a copy of your application that verifies you’ve submitted the form correctly.
In the event that space is not immediately available, then siblings of lottery accepted students will be placed into the first priority of the waitlist.
Having good grades does not give your student an additional advantage. Students are sorted by random computer drawing regardless of grades and performance.
Working for Palmdale School District does not give your student an additional advantage, working for TPAA does.
Attendance for TK students turning five between September 2nd and the applicable TK eligibility cut-off date (lister below) generate ADA for the purpose of funding beginning the first day of the school year, pursuant to Education Code Section 48000(c)
In 2025-26, local educational agencies are required to make TK available to children who will have their fourth birthday by September 1st of the school year.
