STEAM

Elementary School

Teaching STEAM is our purpose.

Our STEAM program integrates education in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics all at once. Logic is utilized in problem resolution because science and mathematics are the basis. Technology and engineering are the applied fields. The creativity needed to depict concepts both visually and abstractly is provided by the arts. Balanced integration of these disciplines fosters critical thinking, problem-solving, and making connections among varied concepts.

Approach and Offerings

We’re on a mission to ignite a passion for STEAM in today’s youth—opening their eyes to the exciting world of engineering. By sparking curiosity early, we empower the next generation to explore careers in this dynamic field and ultimately pursue opportunities right here in the Antelope Valley, proudly known as Aerospace Valley.

Project-Based Learning

Our students use Real-Life-Basis learning where students learn to work on unique projects collaboratively. This hands-on method boosts teamwork, critical thinking, and resource management skills in even our youngest students.

Elementary STEAM Activities

TK-5 students explore fundamentals of science, technology, and engineering through hands-on activities like simple machines, digital art, and Lego builds with lights and motors to spark creativity and learning.

STEAM Clubs & Competitions

Elementary students are encouraged to join clubs like LEGO Robotics, using programmable robots and kits. As we build our STEAM Program, we aim to build a team for the FIRST Lego League robotics competition.

Parent & Community Involvement

Parent and community participation is important for the success of the STEAM program. Parents are invited to assist in the classroom, serve in a mentoring capacity, and help during events such as: Robotics Nights, art exhibits, or showcases.

Community support enhances the value offered to our students, allowing them to gain valuable experience and mentorship.
